Advanced Veterinary Care of Salt Lake City Receives $10,000

As a result of Kismet winning the 2016 Hambone Award, Advanced Veterinary Care of Salt Lake City will receive the $10,000 Nationwide-funded award through the Veterinary Care Foundation to treat pets whose owners could not otherwise afford veterinary care.

After a brave battle with a burglar during a near deadly home invasion, Kismet was saved by the veterinary specialists at Advanced Veterinary Care of Salt Lake City, who performed a life saving surgery to treat major stab wounds Kismet incurred during the ordeal.

After months of recovery, Kismet is now back to his loving self thanks to the amazing care from the veterinary staff at Advanced Veterinary Care of Salt Lake City.

Nationwide would like to thank all 11 veterinary hospitals that treated the 2016 Hambone Award® nominees. All pets nominated for the Hambone Award have made full recoveries and received insurance reimbursements for eligible expenses.
