November Marks National Pet Cancer Awareness Month

Last year, VPI received over 63,000 claims related to cancer, which remains the number one disease related killer in both dogs and cats. In a continuing effort to educate pet owners about the prevalence, detection and treatment of pet cancer, VPI recognizes November as National Pet Cancer Awareness Month.

During the month of November, VPI, a Nationwide company, will donate $5 to the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF), up to $10,000, for every photo, story or statistic shared on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram using #CurePetCancer. VPI will also partner with the Animal Cancer Foundation to host the eighth annual VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness Walk on Nov. 9 in Long Beach, Calif., to raise funds for pet cancer research. Here’s how you can make a difference:

Share your Pet’s Picture Show your support by posting a picture of your pet to Instagram or Twitter using #CurePetCancer, or post it directly on our Facebook page.

Share your Pet’s Story Honor the survivors, give hope to the current fighters and remember the lost by sharing their stories on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #CurePetCancer.

Share the Stats Help spread the word and share pet cancer statistics, early detection tips, video clips and infographics using #CurePetCancer on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  Need a source? Sharable content is available at www.curepetcancer.com.

Share without Social Media Don’t have Facebook, Twitter or Instagram? No problem, you can still help raise funds for the Animal Cancer Foundation by uploading your photos and stories directly at www.curepetcancer.com.
