VPI Donates to Deckers Dogs

In celebration of National Pet Parent’s Day®, Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI) joined forces with the Eric and Jesse Decker Foundation to raise money in support of Deckers Dogs. Over the last two years, VPI has donated more than $15,000 to help Deckers Dogs fund the rescue, care and custom training of shelter dogs to assist our military veterans returning home with disabilities.

VPI’s donation to Deckers Dogs helped fund the rescue and custom training of Decker, who was rescued from a Colorado animal shelter and underwent 10 months of training at Freedom Service Dogs of America. Decker was placed with Diana (pictured), who returned home with several disabilities after serving her country, and was in need or a service dog. Decker never leaves his mom’s side and assists her with everyday tasks, such as grocery shopping, opening doors and helping her pick up low lying items.

VPI donated $5 for every unique pet insurance quote generated on petparentsday.com and for every e-card sent by VPI members to their friends and family. Thank you for helping to protect what matters most!
