Yes, VetHelpline is only available to Nationwide pet insurance members.
Unlimited, 24/7 access to VetHelpline is included in your Nationwide pet insurance policy and comes at no additional cost to you. You won’t be charged for using the VetHelpline app or any video consultations.
In most cases, you’ll be able to speak with someone in 30 minutes or less. If we consider your situation to be critical, we'll connect you with a licensed veterinarian within 5 minutes.
We no longer offer a direct phone number, but you can still get experienced veterinary support through the VetHelpline app.
FirstVet is an online vet service we’re working with to deliver Nationwide members 24/7 pet support. FirstVet contracts all the licensed veterinary professionals you interact with on VetHelpline.
We currently can't offer prescriptions through VetHelpline, but we plan to offer them in the coming months. Stay tuned.
