When you hear Kimberly Bevan yelling for Grampaw, don’t be surprised when her little dog comes running around the corner.
People have always been curious about why Kimberley gave her rescue dog such a “mature and human” name.
“Actually, it was in a movie I saw,” she explains. “They were like, ‘Oh my gosh, Grampaw is here,’ and this dog comes up and I just thought it was the funniest thing.” She goes on to say that people are always surprised when they see him.
The pup’s old-timer name has secured him a spot on the 2019 Wacky Pet Name nomination list.
When it comes to naming your pet, Kimberly suggests pet owners go with something that’s fun and fits the pet’s personality. So, while Grampaw does have a lot of energy because he is young, he does indeed have an old soul.
