Heather knew from the moment she met her little French Bulldog that she needed a spunky name to match her sparkling charisma. “Normally, we like [more common] names, and her name was just going to be Stella – but she just has too much personality for that,” says Heather. Thus, the transformation from Stella to Stella Bean Dip was set in motion.
Heather says that her kids played a big role in coming up with Stella’s unique name. “She was such a little bean, and we’d all say ‘oh, she’s such a little bean dip’ and it kind of grew from there,” she recalls.
According to Heather, people really connect with her creative moniker. “Every single time people are like ‘oh my gosh, that’s so cute,’ and they ask us how we came up with it.” With a cute little face to match her fun name, it’s no wonder that people fall in love with Stella from the moment they meet her.
Thanks to her uniquely adorable name, this spirited little snack has also earned a nomination for the 2019 Wacky Pet Name list.
Asked for tips on how to come up with a masterful name like Stella Bean Dip, Heather recommends letting the individuality of your pet come through. “Their personality really shapes the name,” she says.
Getting pet insurance for Stella Bean Dip was a no brainer for Heather and her family. “I just think it’s a really good idea,” Heather says. “To be responsible pet owners [you should] have insurance, because they do need to get fixed, and they need checkups to keep them healthy.”
