Some wacky pet names are a miracle. Others are more like Miracle Whip. But in the case of Meownnaise, a puntastic cat name with a tangy finish, we get a little bit of both.
“Our family has had a history of naming our pets after food, so I wanted to take it to the next level and include a pun,” Mike says. “We were pretty sure we wanted to use condiments as the base, so we were trying out names like Catsup (for Ketchup), Meowstard (Mustard), so on—and Meownnaise just stuck.”
He adds, “When it first came out of our mouths, there was a moment of silence where we looked at him and back at each other and busted out laughing. We knew that it was the purr-fect name for him.”
Describing this mixed domestic shorthair cat’s fur-sonality, Mike says, "He's the definition of a chill cat. He loves getting cradled like a baby, belly rubs, aggressive pets, wearing clothes and many other things. His tolerance for our shenanigans and his pet siblings is the highest we've seen from any cat whatsoever.”
