A nod to the ancient Sumerian “Book of the Dead” of Lovecraftian lore, this feline comes with a name that reads like a wacky incantation: Necronomicat. “My husband enjoys cultish themes,” says Nationwide member and pet parent Alisha C. “And he always comes up with dark-yet-friendly cat names!”
It’s no surprise given this frisky feline’s name that he creates a little chaos throughout the home—intentionally and otherwise. Alisha says, “He is astoundingly clumsy. Combined with his innate curiosity, he can be quite the rascal. He is also very bold at times and will attack moving ankles from the shadows. I love his surprise attacks.”
Necronomicat is beloved in the family despite a tendency to create havoc (or perhaps because of it?). Like the Great Old Ones of lore, he likes to cause a little ruckus from time to time. Alisha continues, “It’s hard to choose one best thing—he's the best all around, in my humble opinion. I love the liveliness and general mischief that he brings to my household. I believe he enjoys us as much as we enjoy him.”
With a mixed domestic shorthair cat as wacky as Necronomicat, pet insurance protection is a must. That’s why Alisha chose Nationwide to help manage everyday veterinary costs, and to be ready for the unexpected if it happens. “I want to protect this furball from any chaos he might construct. He is quite precious to my family.”
