The perfect name doesn’t always come to you immediately—but when it hits the floor, next thing you know, you’re a Wacky Pet Name nominee. Or at least that’s how it went down for Nationwide member Chloe B. and her toy mixed-breed dog, Boots With The Fur.
Boots initially went a few days without a name as Chloe tried to think of what would fit her new pooch best. But when she noticed the shaggy white fur on her pup's paws, it came to her: "Look at those boots with the fur!”
Almost immediately, Chloe knew she’d made it rain in the naming department. It was also the ideal match for her new pet. “The name ended up just being perfect for her and she loves it—as does everybody else that comes to contact with her,” Chloe says. “She loves knowing there’s a song all about her.”
Boots is a fun-loving pup well fit to her wacky name. Chloe says, “She’s such a silly goose all the time. She is one of the smartest dogs we’ve ever had, to be honest: She picks up her tricks and learns them so quickly.”
When it came time to get insurance for her beloved pup, Chloe didn’t think twice. “I’ve been in situations where you spend so much money at the veterinarian—even for regular checkups. My biggest fear is having something happen and not be able to afford getting something done.”
