Finding a name that captures the personality of pet isn’t always easy. It’s a team effort—and it helps to have a great Team Player at the helm.
“At first, we struggled to pick just one name that fit his big personality,” says Amethyst A., Nationwide member and pet parent to Team Player. “As time went on, we noticed his drive to be with others, always nearby to help with any activity (especially helping his brother eat). Take that along with his preferred method of asking for attention being little boofs and grunts that sound a lot like he is saying ‘Team!’ and the rest was history.”
Team Player was a marvelous name for their engaged new American Staffordshire Terrier, but it didn’t cover everything. Amethyst continues, “As for his middle name, ‘The Bandit,’ that comes from his built-in mask and tendency to sneakily reclaim toys that we hid.”
Getting pet insurance for The Bandit was no question for Amethyst. “My dogs are my babies, and they have better insurance than most humans,” Amethyst says. “If there’s a health issue, I want the peace of mind that the medical bills won't affect the treatment decisions.”
Amethyst wanted to be ready for the unexpected when it came to protecting her Team Player. So, she got Nationwide pet insurance. She continues, “I switched from a competitor … I’ve been with Nationwide for 4-plus years and have always had a good experience.”
