But when your pet name jingles, that’s where the magic—and wackiness—happens. Take for example this sweet treat of a tegu, named for his tell-tale stripe pattern and an ad from 2007.
“He's a stripey boy, just like Frosted Mini Wheats cereal,” says Jo H., Nationwide member and pet parent to Frosted Mini Wheats. “The strawberry Frosted Mini Wheats jingle is his theme song, and he is serenaded with it at every meal. ‘Mini mini mini Mini Wheats, strawberry flave...’ Whole wheat IS great!”
Frosted Mini Wheats has a balanced diet that’s filled with tegu staples like meat, fruits and veggies—but ironically strawberry and whole wheat are off the menu. "He does NOT like strawberries,” Jo adds, “despite the strawberry flavor Frosted Mini Wheats song being his theme song."
Unlike many pet reptiles, Frosted Mini Wheats likes one-on-one time spent snuggling with his human. “He likes to snuggle up after baths, and he only sometimes tries to take my finger off.”
